Who we are

We practise Liberal Judaism in a warm and friendly atmosphere, priding ourselves on our informal and inclusive approach.

We welcome couples in mixed marriages and partnerships and our community includes many families where only one parent is Jewish.

Our children in mixed families are recognised as Jewish if they’re being raised as Jewish, whether they have a Jewish mother or Jewish father. All children in our community are treated equally and are invited to attend the Religion School, become Bar/Bat Mitzvah and complete Kabbalat Torah.

We like to think of ourselves as one big happy family, with members spanning three generations, from nought to ninety-plus years of age.

What we offer

We offer everything you might want in your local Jewish community.

We celebrate the full Jewish family lifecycle and hold weekly and festival services. We run a vibrant Religion School (for 6+ year olds) and Gan (for 0-6 year olds), as well as stimulating adult education sessions. We also have regular social events, including suppers, theatre outings, rambles and quizzes.
