Unsurprisingly, we’re always looking for donations - of both time and money - for the different local charities we support, for various community projects and to fund our own synagogue.
Want to donate?
Members and friends give to SBJC for a variety of personal reasons.
If you’d like to make a one-off or regular donation to mark an occasion or in memory of a loved one, please get in touch. You can make a Gift Aid declaration here. Please return this declaration to our treasurer.
Kol Nidre appeal
For this year's Kol Nidre appeal, we've chosen to support three charities.
Wycombe Refugee Partnership is a local charity which supports some of the most vulnerable refugee families settle in the area. These people are mainly from Syria and have fled their own country, often at great risk to themselves, in the hope of finding safety and security. This year we raised over £1300 to support them.
Save a Child's Heart is an international humanitarian project based in Israel. It works to improve the quality of cardiac care for children with heart disease in developing countries, and to create centres of competence in these areas by training their doctors and nurses.
SBJC, as ever, needs your financial support too.
Thank you to this year's SBJC Strollers, pictured, and everyone else who gave their time and money to Aylesbury's Relay for Life.
Thank you also to everyone who donated to last year's Kol Nidre appeal, which supported the local charity Sparkles: teaching children with Down's syndrome to talk.
Donate to SBJC by buying Ellen's beautiful shul music
Ellen's fundraising CD "Rockin' Rosh Hashanah" features a combination of classic SBJC melodies as well as 'rockier' tunes, which you can sample here, here, and here. You can also get your hands on Ellen's debut CD "Silky Smooth Shabbat", with clips here, here and here. You can buy both CDs from us, with 100% of proceeds going to support SBJC. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
