FULL FAMILY MEMBERSHIP: this category includes
two adult members and their children up to the age of 21. The children
are entitled to attend cheder and all members of the family are automatically
covered under the ULPS/NPLS Burial & Cremation Scheme, {unless they
request otherwise}.
ONE JEWISH PARENT FAMILY: this category
covers one parent and his/her family. As with the Full Family membership,
the children are entitled to attend cheder and the registered members
are covered under our Burial/Cremation Scheme.
SINGLE ADULT MEMBERSHIP: this category entitles
one adult to membership of the SBJC and the Burial/Cremation Scheme. It
is worth noting here that should the circumstances of a single adult member
change and he/she then has a child or children whom he/she wishes to be
considered as members of the community, the membership category would
change to one of the above, as appropriate. NO children are covered under
this category.
JUNIOR MEMBER: this category applies to
young adults, aged 21 to 25 years, whether they are joining for the first
time or are existing members in a family membership. At 21 a young adult
must join in his/her own right in order to be covered by the Burial/Cremation
Scheme.
FRIEND:
this is a
category of associate membership only open to non-Jews and members of
other synagogue movements.
